STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math

The red (math up to calculus III) and yellow (grad students in math) are thriving. The blue (3rd and 4th year math courses) is less than half what it was 4 years ago. This amounts to about 220 3rd and 4th year math courses taken by students at a university with 15,000. These are courses such as differential equations, linear algebra, and statistics that requires calculus. Our majors have remained constant, and now make up about half this total. Students in other disciplines are to a large extent no longer taking these Math courses.
